Baptisms

Baptism is the gateway to the sacraments and necessary for salvation. Through baptism men and women are freed from sin, are reborn as children of God.


Requirements to have your child baptized at St. Jane:


  1. Fill out an application
  2. Copy of your child's birth certificate
  3. Have at least 1 Godparent and this person must have all sacraments of initiation (Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation.) Proof of Confirmation certificate is required.
  4. If you have more than one godparent, then it must be male and female. (No male-male, or female-female).
  5. Parents and Godparents must attend a pre-baptismal class. Please refer to the calendar for classes on this same page.
  6. Must turn in all documentation, application, and donation to the Parish office at least 1 day before the pre-baptismal class. No exceptions.

  • How much does it cost?

    There is not an specific amount to have your child baptized at St. Jane. You can contribute as much as you would like. Your generosity help us to provide Baptisms to others, especially those in need.


    You can make your donation online, by clicking "Give" on the menu bar, or you can come in person and pay in cash or by check.


    Checks must be written out to St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church

  • When are Baptisms celebrated?

    English Baptisms are celebrated every second Saturday of the month, at 10:00 am.


    Spanish Baptisms are celebrated every third Saturday of the month at 10:00 am.

  • When are pre-baptismal classes?

    Pre-baptismal classes are on Fridays, from 7:00-8:30 pm in the old parish office building. 


    The exact dates are confirmed by the Parish office once all documentation is turned in to the office.


    Classes are for adults only. Please do not bring your kids with you, we do not have sitters available.
